A while ago I got the sheets of the ElPasoWaltz from here, beautiful Waltz. I uploaded an unisolo version of this waltz.

This Saturday (08-07-08) I met my friend Mike Francis after 18 month (former member of my band ROANOKE). I found this pretty waltz and let him play the melody so I worked out the harmony for it. Later my friend Jim Albert joined on the guitar. I uploaded the result for you.

Thanks Alisha and George,
I'm thrilled you like my tunes. I'm still waiting for Brian to hear it. I wrote it on my way home from his 65th birthday party and recorded it late that evening. I emailed it to him and left a phone message for him to check his email, but I know he has house guests and apparently he hasn't gotten around to it.

Thanks for the link to the psu site, Ken - a great resource!

Ken: Look at the liner notes of Trevor's last album, Mountaineer. He clearly indicates Margaret Randolph Waltz came from Red Wilson. Trevor is the fiddle teacher of my friend, Ken Stott and I've had the pleasure of jamming with him & his brother.

wow, Paul! The Brian waltz is very cool! I also like that Jane's reel a lot but my favorite by far is The Leaves are Falling - it is soooooo beautiful!

I play Margaret's Waltz too. I was always partial to JP Fraley's version, but would like to hear Aly Bain do it. He is an exceptional fiddler as well.
