I play a version of Christmas Eve, but there are several. I learned mine from Jerry Correll, the fiddler for the Wolfe Brothers String Band.

Grayson County (Elk Creek, VA) Fiddler's Convention This Weekend
This coming weekend is the Grayson County Old Time and Bluegrass Fiddler's Convention in Elk Creek, Virginia. This is really a nice little festival that is absent the huge crowds of Mount Airy, Galax, and Clifftop. A family friendly event in a beautiful area of Virginia.

Well the music here isn't as good as I would like. Just not enough people in Shelbyville that play much. I go to the music store here on Saturdays and play some with a scant group. Sometimes there will be 3 or 6 playing and sometimes none.

- A bouzouki might be considered a weapon of musical distraction. But, it's sort of like a mandolin on steroids. Mine is tuned like an octave mandolin, but there are other tunings for the instrument. I use mine when I go to the local irish jam.
