Hey..I could tell that you were also an artist. I work mostly in pastels. I also run an art gallery here along with my music store. I am on the North Panhandle. I don't know of any galleries in South Fl....
Hi..Nice to meet you. Are you also an artist? Did you paint the cat? I also am part of an art gallery.. I meet a lot of musicians that also do art this form of art.
Hi Tobin, I'm from the other end of PA. Some of my family are from Cleveland, OH, but most are from the Phila. area, which is where I grew up. As for Maine Fiddle Camp, it's only "my" camp in the sense that I'm an enthusiastic MFC camper. I don't know how decisions are made as to who teaches there, but I do know that the staff (and campers, for that matter) tend to come back year after year. If you're interested in the camp, you might think about coming as a camper first--the June weekend session is coming up soon. That way you'd get a feel for the camp and have an opportunity to meet the director and the staff as well as see how it works firsthand. Am assuming you've already been to the camp Web site and have read the posts on this site by George Fowler (a staff member) and me. If not, you should for sure.
Hi Tobin, I see you are a PA native--me too, although I've lived nearly my whole adult life in Maine, with just a short couple of years in Montague, MA, nearly 30 years ago. I love New England and much prefer the Maine coastal weather to that of southeastern PA.
Sure, Photograph the things you see that may be wrong with it. tip condition frog condition windings, is the stick straight, thumb leather ect..
little things can add up.
